A local team with a passion for better outdoor living.

Matrix Outdoor Solutions is a Tauranga-based design, fabrication and installation company creating premium outdoor structures for homes across the Bay of Plenty.

Designed, manufactured and installed by one team.

We started Matrix with a simple idea: outdoor structures should be designed for the home they sit beside, built properly, and installed by the people who made them. Too often homeowners are handed a kitset, or passed between a designer, a fabricator and an installer who have never met.

Our workshop in Tauranga brings all of that under one roof. Our team designs your pergola, louvre roof, carport, gate or screen, fabricates it from marine-grade aluminium, powder-coats it and installs it. One point of contact, one standard of quality, from the first site visit to the final handover.

We are proud to be locally owned and to build for our own community, from Mount Maunganui and Papamoa to Te Puke, Katikati and beyond.

Built on quality. Chosen for the difference.

Design-led

Every structure starts with your home, your site and how you live, not a catalogue page.

Made in New Zealand

Fabricated in our own Tauranga workshop, with quality checked at every stage.

Honest communication

Fixed quotes, realistic timeframes and a team that answers the phone.

Built to last

Marine-grade materials and durable finishes chosen for Bay of Plenty conditions.

What our customers say.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Awesome job completed by Rik, Mick & the team. Great communication from start to finish, all on time with a great sense of humour. The quality of the product and the build was top notch, with a keen eye for detail. If you want a good job at the right price these are the guys to see. Totally recommend them.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. So.... We got 4 quotes for our outdoor area. Only 2 companies could offer us what we wanted due to the custom fitment and design requirements. We choose Matrix for several reasons, Excellent communication, Prompt timing on meetings, Professional approach and hard case English accents. Mike and Rik are as genuine as it comes. They showed up when they said they would and delivered exactly what they said they would. Their communication professionalism and advice along the way was what we would have expected for a project like this. (It was a big spend for us) The finished detail is on point. I have worked in the building industry for over 15 years in architectural design and builds. So I was happy to see we got the same level of detail here on. our own job. Before our project I had never heard of these guys. Some weird Facebook algorithm lead me to their site. (love some Facebook marketing...) We are in Te Kowhai/Hamilton area and they came from Tauranga. Cool story huh.... Cheers guys.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mike and the team at Matrix did an incredible job for us. They made contact quickly, were really clear and articulate around the options and their recommendations and continued right through the quoting, build and delivery. The outcome itself was exceptional and at a very fair price. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for this kind of product. Thanks again Mike and team.
