Not every outdoor project fits a standard product. Sometimes a home needs a balustrade that follows a curved deck, a set of aluminium stairs down to the garden, an oversized planter, a bespoke fire pit or a structural beam to open up a living space. That is where our custom fabrication service comes in. At Matrix Outdoor Solutions we cut, weld, form and finish aluminium in our own Tauranga workshop, for homeowners, architects and builders across the Bay of Plenty.
Our fabricators are the same team that produces our pergolas, louvre roofs, gates and carports, so you get the same attention to detail, the same quality of finish and the same reliable communication on a one-off job as you would on a full outdoor living project.
What we make
Residential work includes balustrades and handrails, stairs and landings, letterboxes, planters, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, pool fencing and architectural feature panels. For commercial and rural clients we fabricate signage frames, shelters, racking, brackets and general engineering components. If it is metal and it needs to be made well, we can help.
Design and drawings
Bring us a sketch, a photo or an architect’s plan. We can work from your drawings or produce our own, including 3D models so you can see exactly what you will get before we cut a single piece. Where structural engineering is required we coordinate with engineers and provide the documentation your builder or council needs.
Materials and finishes
We work exclusively in marine-grade aluminium. Finishes include powder-coating in any colour, or brushed and clear-coated aluminium for a more industrial look. Every finish is selected for the environment it will live in, so coastal installations get the corrosion protection they need.
Working with builders and architects
We regularly partner with local builders, landscapers and architects, fabricating to specification and coordinating our installation with the wider build programme. Site measures, shop drawings and clear timelines keep everything on track.

Do you take on small one-off jobs?
Yes. From a single bracket or repair to a full architectural feature, we are happy to quote on jobs of any size.
Can you work from my own drawings?
Absolutely. We fabricate from architect or engineer drawings, or we can produce shop drawings and 3D models from your sketch or brief.
Which metals do you work with?

Do you provide engineering for structural work?

Can you install as well as fabricate?
